KMART To Double Coupons to $2, Friday, December 16 ONLY

Thank you goes out to a CouponCentsation friend, Tere, one of the Coupon Wizards, who has been the sleuth on this. Here is the information she has discovered and shared:

Check out what printed after my receipt yesterday at Kmart:

Yay! Oh wait, limit 5 coupons per customer per day??? $25 minimum purchase required??? Booo! Or, maybe we can make this work…

The printout says, “see store for details” and I did just that, but they were clueless. Surprise? I think not.

So, I called Kmart’s customer service line. Yup, they were just as clueless.

So, now the detective in me has been searching for answers/clarifications. Here is what I know for sure:

• Manufacturer coupons up to and including $2 in value will DOUBLE on Friday, December 16th only. ($0.50 doubled = $1, $1 doubled = $2, $2 doubled = $4)

• MUST be a Shop Your Way Rewards Member in order to have your coupons doubled. *I ALWAYS have the cashier scan my rewards card BEFORE she scans my items and coupons.* You can learn more about the rewards program here.

• $25 minimum purchase requirement in Drug and Grocery *cannot confirm, but this usually includes health & beauty, and pet items as well* Also, the $25 minimum is probably calculated BEFORE manufacturer coupons.*

• Limit 5 coupons per customer per day *have not clarified if it is truly “per customer” or per Shop Your Way Rewards card*

I know this doesn't seem like a very great promotion, but I have a few scenario’s brewing in my head already. The best way to take advantage of this promotion, would be to use $2 mq’s instead of those lower in value.

Also don't forget you earn a $5 Rewards Card for purchases of $50 or more through 12/17/2011 online or in store.
