Movies definitely help keep the kids entertained, especially here where we’ve just been slammed with freezing temps and a foot of snow. Plus I love saving on anything, but on non-essentials like this it seems like an even bigger bonus because I don’t feel guilty about spending the money. The biggest savings I’ve found lately actually helped me save about twenty bucks a month on my entertainment budget without losing any of the services I was getting from being a member of things like Netflix and Gamefly. Through my employer and TV provider DISH I signed up for the Blockbuster Movie Pass. Customers get access to twenty different movie channels, in home movie AND game delivery, plus streaming. To get those same services before I was paying over thirty bucks a month so I cancelled everything else and now only pay ten for the Blockbuster Movie Pass. Saving that kind of coin is always good, but saving it right before Christmas? GREAT.
