SEVERE WEATHER? Power OUT? Check what I got!

As many of you know, our family lives in North Alabama where so many devastating tornadoes took place nearly a month ago. That night, I spent hours searching in the dark for extra batteries, flashlights, a battery radio, and even a way to charge my cell phone with no power! Even though we have Weather Call and live by that, with no cell phone service, and no other way of getting information, we were truly in the DARK!
As a Meteorologist, my husband takes every effort to make sure that our family is protected during severe weather events. It killed him to know that we were at home with no way to hear the latest news and weather warnings! The picture above shows the Midland ER102 system that just arrived at our door a few weeks ago!
This system has the following features:
AM/FM radio with Digital Tuner (AA batteries)
Rechargeable Batteries/AC Adapter
* When there is no power, or batteries, you also have the hand krank feature
NOAA Weather Radio (All 7 channels)
NOAA Weather Alert
LED Built in Flash light
Digital Clock with Alarm
Thermometer with FREEZE alert
LCD Back light screen
Ear Phone Jack, USB port (IPOD or cell phone charger)
Emergency Safety Siren
Midland ER102 Emergency RadioPortable Radios)
