For those of you that have been following my husband's road to recovery for the past week or so, here is our latest update!
If you are new, you can catch up on the very beginning HERE!
I cannot believe that 2 weeks ago tomorrow is when this whole journey started. It seems like it has been FOREVER! I guess that is what you get when you are pretty much in the house all the time..
Dale is overall feeling ok. He has his times of ups and downs. But, the hardest thing to overcome right now is being weak and tired. For example, we stepped outside to let the kids play in the driveway this afternoon and he was just sitting in a lawn chair, not doing anything strenuous. When we came in, he went back to resting! He said that today is the most tired that he has been since coming home from the hospital.
While his white blood count continues coming down from an all time high of 44,000, we are hoping and praying that he will gain more and more strength back everyday! We see our primary care doctor on Friday and the infectious disease doctor next Tuesday. We are praying for good news!
Ya'll have been too sweet praying for him and I cannot tell you how much your sweet emails and messages have meant! Without our family, friends, Facebook fans, and our church family, this situation would be much harder! Thanks for all you have done and continued to do for us~
For those of you wanting to send thoughts, I am reading them to him from my email or his Facebook page.
Glad he's doing alright. So stressful/scary to have something like that happening to your family. Sending prayers your way. =)
